Walking with One Another in Christ's Love
“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2
How We Serve: The Care Team at Milford United Methodist Church is a ministry of presence, compassion, and confidentiality. Inspired by the caring model of Stephen Ministry, our team offers one-on-one, Christ-centered emotional and spiritual support to individuals navigating life’s challenges. Whether someone is facing illness, grief, loneliness, life transitions, or simply needs a listening ear, our Care Team is here to walk alongside them—not to fix, but to be faithfully present.
- Confidential Support – Team members are trained to offer confidential, nonjudgmental care through regular visits, phone calls, or check-ins.
- Spiritual Encouragement – We offer prayer, scripture, and gentle guidance for those seeking spiritual comfort during difficult times.
- Practical Compassion – When needed, we coordinate meals, transportation, or help connect individuals with additional resources.
- Extended Community Care – In addition to one-on-one care, the team supports the congregation by writing cards, making hospital visits, and staying in touch with homebound members.
Who We Serve: The Care Team is here for anyone in our church family who needs support—whether it’s due to illness, bereavement, aging, caregiving responsibilities, job stress, or other life circumstances. You do not need to be a member to receive care.
How to Get Involved: If you feel called to join this vital ministry, please reach out to the church office. Training is provided for all new Care Team members, and each caregiver is supported by the team and church leadership.
