Reverend Matthew Wissell

Born in Holden, MA and raised in Rochdale, MA, Matthew Wissell is the son of an elementary school teacher and a production engineer.  Matt and his wife Amy have been married since 2000 and began serving at MUMC on July 1, 2025.  

Matt graduated from Framingham State College ’89 in Framingham, MA where he majored in Political Science and minored in American History and Boston University School of Theology ’93 (Master of Divinity).  

Matt’s primary ministry interests are preaching, leadership, equipping people to discover and use their spiritual gifts in ministry, and making disciples.  

Several themes at the core of Matt’s philosophy of ministry are sharing God’s love, grace, and mercy and the joy we have in Jesus while serving God and others.  

Outside of MUMC, Matt serves a Chaplain for Police and Fire Services as well as the Civil Air Patrol. He is also an active member of the Masonic Fraternity and has served in many leadership roles.

Jennifer Erdody - Music Director and Organist

Jennifer Erdody - Music Director and Organist

Jennifer K. Erdody, is a graduate of Boston University, where she studied with Richard Cassilly. She lives in Milford with her husband and two children. 

Jenn is also the choral director at Milford High School in Milford, NH, where she directs the concert choir and “West Street Beat”, the school’s elite vocal ensemble. She also teaches Voice Workshop and Advanced Vocal Studies. 

On stage, she has performed the roles of Princess Fiona in the Amherst PTA’s production of “Shrek the Musical”, Rose Smith in “Meet Me In St. Louis”, Laurey in “Oklahoma!”, and Mary Hatch Bailey in Milford Area Players’ “It’s A Wonderful Life”. 

Jennifer frequently works with Souhegan Valley Boys and Girls Club’s Riverbend Youth Company, where she has served as music director for “Willy Wonka Jr.”, “Carousel” “, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Guys and Dolls, Jr.”, and “Oliver”. She co-directed “The Sound of Music” for Riverbend Youth Company, and directed “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” and “West Side Story”. 

For 16 years, she directed the Mont Vernon Community Messiah Sing, a long-standing choral tradition. She was named the 2009 New Hampshire Vocalist of the Year by American Mothers Incorporated and 2012 Nashua area Teacher of the Year by the Hippo Press. Jenn also works at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
