Outreach and Mission

Faithful response to Christ’s call to love and serve others

Outreach & Mission

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40

Our Outreach Ministry is a faithful response to Christ’s call to love and serve others. Whether close to home, across the nation, or around the globe, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.

Our ministry takes many forms:

  • Disaster relief and global support through assembling UMCOR cleaning and hygiene kits, providing mosquito nets to help prevent malaria, and sponsoring a child through World Vision with ongoing encouragement and financial support.
  • Caring for one another through cards, prayers, and meals that remind our church family they are not alone in times of celebration or need.
  • Prison ministry that shares God’s grace and hope with those who are incarcerated through the Kairos program.
  • Feeding the community with monthly SHARE dinners, grocery donations to the SHARE Food Pantry, and school supply collections for local children.
  • Seasonal outreach opportunities such as the CROP Hunger Walk, Salvation Army bell ringing, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and the SHARE Christmas adoption program for local families.
  • Everyday acts of service like providing coffee for fellowship, keeping meals ready in our freezer for those in need, or even sending used Christmas cards to charities that put them to good use.

These are just some of the ways our congregation reaches out in love. Each project is rooted in our desire to follow Jesus’ example of compassion and service. As opportunities arise, we respond with willing hearts and helping hands, trusting that God will use our efforts to bring hope, healing, and joy.
